Dear All, This is my first message in the list and I'm writing to get some information. At the moment I'm using the MinGW-64 GCC 6.1.0 toolchain using Win64 and I'd like to upgrade my programming environment.
Usually I avoid the x.0.0 version so I'm thinking to move to the GCC 7.x.x version of the toolchain avoiding the future 8.0.0. Because the upgrade is usally requiring to re-compile a lot of things I'd like to make the upgrade once a year. I found the GCC 7.2.0 toolchain (Mingw64) but some months ago the GCC team released the 7.3.0 version. I'd like just to know the planning you have. Are you going to make the 7.30 available or you are already moving to GCC 8.0.0? In the first case I'll be waiting for the availability of the 7.3.0 in the second case I'll go for for the 7.2.0. Obviously I'd like also to say thank you to all the contributors of the MinGW-w64 software for their great job.
