Well that error doesn't say it doesn't support __declspec, it mostly says
that some part of the quoting/expansion of __declspec via the macros ends
up broken.
Can you try running the same command but with -E instead of -c, and quote
the relevant bits from the output from around where WINPTHREAD_API is
used?
