First of all, I would look at the Windows logs. Second thing to do... well, could You please provide more details on the environment You're facing this issue? Also, are those virtual machines? What kind of virtualizer?
If You're having this issue on physical Win7 machine, personal "favorite" suspects includes RAM issues (full-blown memtest to run) and power fluctuations (OS level logs, and power monitoring while making sure the wiring is decent and power unit is more than enough powerful on high loads).
