Sorry for the delay. I agree that having those functions implemented
like that was a mistake. Now that we have them, I'm a bit afraid of
breaking existing applications. I guess we don't know if anything is
using those functions in non-UCRT environment. Still, I'm fine with the
patch patch. If we find out that it breaks things, then we may consider
having something in msvcrt importlibs later.
That said, it feels risky and I heard some talks about doing a release
soon. I don't know what's the current status, but if we're indeed
releasing soon, it may make sense to delay committing it after that.
