Hi,

nemod can be started from the foreign network without problems.
I guess you have a misconfiguration problem. First, configuring the HoA on eth0 is useless (HoA is handled and assigned to the correct interface by nemod). Then, check that your configuration file is OK by checking the NEMO howto available from:

Hello all,

I have installed nemo-0.2 successfully on some linux machines
(With the help of some mailing-list members - Thank you).
The MR is only configured as MN yet. Everything works fine, when moving the MN to a foreign network and back. But when I start the nemod on the MN when the MN is in a foreign network, the MN only writes the HA in its binding update list and sends neighbour solicitations to the HAs solicited node multicast address (präfix FF02:0:0:0:0:1:FF00::/104).
It don't send a Binding Update.

Before starting the daemon I make "ip -6 addr show eth0 ".
At that time the MN has the following Addresses:
- Home Address (give to it in: /etc/network/interfaces)
- global Address for the foreign network
   ( built with stateless autoconfiguration)
- link local Address of the Interface
The MN has also a default route to the foreign access-router.

Is it possible to make it work, that the nemod could be started in a foreign network (when the MN is not at Home), and if, where could be my mistakes?

Regards Sebastian

PS: the nemod on the HA is of course running all the time
