Hello All, I have Debian 3.1 and running kernel 2.6.15.7 on HA, CN and IPv6_Router and running Knoppix_MIPL_2.6.15 on my MN and am using mipv6-2.0.1 on all my nodes.
I am using the exact configurations of the test bed as prescribed in the "Mobile IPv6 Mini Howto version 0.2" (http://www.ipt.etsi.org/mini_howto.htm) but it is not functioning as expected. the follwoing are my observations: The MN can ping the CN from within its Home Network. But when i plug the MN into the Foreign network (on which the CN also resides) it stops pinging and i get the following message: ping:sendmsg: Invalid argument and when i plug the MN back into its Home Network, the pinging resumes as normal. Also when i telnet into the nodes (telnet localhost 7777) i can not read the binding cache, i.e., when i execute "bc" i get nothing but a prompt. this behavior is consistent on all the nodes regardless of whether the MN is in the Home Network or in the foreign network. One observation that i had when i was upgrading my mipv6-2.0 to mipv6-2.0.1 was that when i ran the script ./chkconf_kernel.sh /usr/src/linux; i got the message /proc/config.gz doesnot exist. (i am not sure wether this is relevant) Can anyone help me to see a normally running MIPL environment....for a change :-) thanks in advance Zarrar _________________________________________________________________ Join the next generation of Hotmail and you could win the adventure of a lifetime http://www.imagine-msn.com/minisites/sweepstakes/mail/register.aspx _______________________________________________ mipl mailing list [email protected] http://www.mobile-ipv6.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mipl
