Hello all,
Now I'm trying to integrate the WLAN modules in my present MIPv6 testbed,and got some problems which I want to seek answers as soon as possible.
The testbed is based on the linux kernel version 2.6.15.7:
(visitnet) (homenet)
(eth1) CN-[eth0]-------------------------------[eth1]-Route-[eth2]-----------------------------[eth0]-HA (wlan0)
(Network 1:2001:106:2300::/64) (Network 2:2001:106:2700::/64)
MN (eth1)
I have installed wireless cards on 3 hosts (MN,HA,CN)and wish to communicate on an ad-hoc mode.
Wireless Interfaces:
CN: eth1 2001:106:2300::3/64
MN: eth1 2001:106:2300::4/64
HA: wlan0 2001:106:2700::3/64 Information of my 3 hosts are: MN:ubuntu,linux-kernel:2.6.15.7,Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter HA:Debian,linux-kernel:2.6.15.7,(USB wireless adapter)Wireless Model Name:ZyAIR G-220 zd1211- http://zd1211.ath.cx/ -r83 Based on www.zydas.com.tw driver version 2.5.0.0 CN:Debian,linux-kernel:2.6.15.7,PCICMA wlan card,realtekRTL8185,Hermes Problems:
1.I set the essid of HA as "homenet" (iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc essid homenet enc off),CN as "visitnet".
2.Running iwlist to view available frequencies or channels states that,MN,CN and HA and only find "visitnet",but cannot find "homenet" at all,so that MN cannot connect with HA.
3.I connected MN with CN,(iwconfig eth1 essid visitnet),but they cannot ping each other.Also Route cannot ping the wireless interface eth1 of CN and wlan0 of HA.
