Hi Steve, Thanks for the prompt reply. I have implemented MIPL on a fixed client (I.e. notebook). For the next phase in development, I have obtained a PDA. Still trying to figure out how to hack Familiar on it :)
So if you could provide me info regarding the following: 1. How to document for installing Familiar. Or is it specific to a model of PDA? 2. How to patch the kernel and install softwares on it. Something in that direction would be a great help. rgds, Shariq --- steve ayer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > hi shariq, > > i'm not sure where you are in the development phase. > do you have a pda > running linux now? have you worked with mipl before > on another platform? > > essentially, you'll need to install familiar linux > on a supported pda > (see the handhelds wiki page on supported platforms) > and then you'll > need to get the kernel source so that you can patch, > build, and install > the mipv6 version. you'll also need to build and > install the mipl > userspace tools for this platform. > > please let me know where to begin so that i can > point you in the right > direction. > > -steve > > shariq haseeb wrote: > > Hi Steve, > > > > Thanks for your guidance in this matter.
