Dear colleague.

That seems some steps omitted in an extracting tar-ball. Well, did you
extract all of tar-balls? As my one cent, you have to extract all of
tar-balls and then apply the patch. In other words, did you extract the
kernel files from linux-2.6.15.tar.bz2 or linux-2.6.15.tar.gz? (Please,
take a look carefully the section "Patching the kernel" in
Mobile-IPv6-HOWTO.html)

Cheers.

 Dear Jong-Hyouk

Thanks your reply.

I have a question.

Distribution : Ubuntu 5.10
source :
mipv6-2.0.1-linux-2.6.15.patch.gz
mipv6-2.0.1.tar.gz
linux-2.6.15.tar.gz

When I apply the MIPv6 patch based on the
http://gnist.org/~lars/doc/Mobile-IPv6-HOWTO/Mobile-IPv6-HOWTO.html , the
message is below.

===============================================================================================

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/src# ls
mipv6-2.0.1  mipv6-2.0.1-linux-2.6.15.patch.gz  mipv6-2.0.1.tar.gz
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/src# zcat /usr/local/src/mipv6-
2.0.1-linux-2.6.15.patch.gz | patch -p1 --dry-run
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|diff -Nrup a/include/linux/in6.h b/include/linux/in6.h
|--- a/include/linux/in6.h      2006-02-25 13:24:50 +02:00
|+++ b/include/linux/in6.h      2006-02-25 13:24:50 +02:00
--------------------------
File to patch:
What's the problem ?

Regards,

Ryong Oh
