Dear colleague. Actually, I want to say that you should look at the MIPL official page ( http://www.mobile-ipv6.org/ )carefully if you really want to do something with MIPL. As my one coin, I give some what you want.
Response for your question #1: the lastest MIPL kernel patch is mipv6-2.0.2-linux-2.6.16.patch.gz, so you use it with the Linux kernel v2.6.16. Response for your question #2: Basically, a mobile node has to be applied the MIPL functionalities to L3 handoff. So, you have to install for each mobile node. Response for your question #3: As I know, the lastest MIPL supports the basic mobility support, IPsec signaling between mobile node and home agent, IPsec signaling between mobile node and corresponding node, and route optimization.
