Dear colleague.

Actually, I want to say that you should look at the MIPL official page
( http://www.mobile-ipv6.org/
)carefully if you really want to do something with MIPL. As my one coin, I
give some what you want.

Response for your question #1: the lastest MIPL kernel patch is
mipv6-2.0.2-linux-2.6.16.patch.gz, so you use it with the Linux kernel
v2.6.16.

Response for your question #2: Basically, a mobile node has to be applied
the MIPL functionalities to L3 handoff. So, you have to install for each
mobile node.

Response for your question #3: As I know, the lastest MIPL supports the
basic mobility support, IPsec signaling between mobile node and home agent,
IPsec signaling between mobile node and corresponding node, and route
optimization. However, might be, there is other supports I miss.

Cheers.

Hi...,

I'm zack and I planning to setup Mobile IPv6 MIPL2 under Linux. I'm just
wondering if I can get some information on the following :

Questions :

1. What is the Linux kernel that support MIPL2. Can I used kernel 2.6.20and is
it available for the implementation on MIPL
2. Is it each of the Mobile Node need to have a setup in order to used
MIPv6. Can a legacy Mobile Node (without configuration of MIPv6) can be a
Mobile Node.
3. Does MIPL2 support the following :

   - DHCPv6
   - Multihoming
   - Corespondent Node
   - Route Optimization

Thank in advance

regards
zack
