-------- With WiFi good and X11 not running, the Debian root environment makes this a really comfortable little laptop! I actually created a user account, and this uncovered a few minor permission mis-settings, but nothing subtle. So I have screen, VIM, bash, lynx, gcc, gdb, and all the other usual CLI goodies. I think I'm running with 100M free. :->
The only real long term question of viability is whether anybody has found a source of replacement batteries for these units? Nothing jumps out from my own searches.
