And make sure the kernel is on the first partition, which must not be
larger than 32 MB.  So you will probably want a 16MB (or something)
first partition with the kernel, and the rest of the card on a second
partition with any fs type you like.

Finally, it can only boot from SD cards; MMC cards fit in the slot and
work once the system has booted, but cannot be used to boot from.
