The best documentation I found is the Linux kernel source Ingenic distributes. From that, it seems that the differences are significant. However, if the jz4730 programming manual would become available without NDA, I would like to have it. > Their Ben NanoNote used the jz4720 btw. They have their numbering messed up. jz4720, jz4725 and jz4740 are all the exact same device, the only difference is the packaging. There are real differences though, because not all pins are lead to the outside of the package on all devices. jz4740 has them all, jz4720 has only a 16-bit external interface, and jz4725 is like the jz4720, but it doesn't have usb host (technically it does have it, but you can't connect anything because the pins are missing). jz4730 is a different device, with other modules on it (I'm not sure if it has usb device support, it does have ethernet support, which the jz4740 does not have, several things, such as system timers and gpio are controlled differently). Thanks, Bas
