Hi,

1) I am using my old school debian lenny setup on trendtac epc700:
link to download here:
http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/mipsbook-devel/2011-October/000374.html

2) other option is to build your own distro from scratch using a bootstrapped
debian mipsel version.
Nikolaus collected several ones here together with install instructions:
http://download.goldelico.com/letux-400/

First step is to get wifi working as wired lan is NOK for 2.6.31.3.
debian lenny libs needed: udev wpa_supplicant lsusb zd1211-firmware
check dmesg for correct loading of zd1211rw firmware to cardname (can be wlan0
or eth1)
wpa_passphrase your_ssid your_psk

And fill in at /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
add/update your wireless settings in /etc/network/interfaces
#ifconfig wlan0 up
#wireless-lan
  wlan settings: dhcp auto dns
  connect

3) 3mx ultra for 2.6.24.3 will run, but wifi is not working on this distro with
external zd1211 usbstick,
I get couldn't load zd1211 firmware, glibc / udev / lsusb compatibility issue I
think.

Hi Rubens, which distribution do you use this kernel with? I want to stabilize
a distribution on mine. Apparently getting a soft-float one is currently
unfeasible :(
