Hi Dima,
somehow it should work using the components from 3MX distribution.
I tried a little but could get it running due to less time .
Currently i use the value in /proc file system to get battery status:
cat /proc/jz/battery-level
=> the value provided reflects the battery status.
    a value > 220 is a full battery
a value < 200 battery is getting empty.

hope this helps a little

Regarding ScreenBrightness:
as far as i know this can't be set on the console since its a fixed time period set in the kernel. This means after some period of inactivity the screen is switched off - of course your letux is still running ;-)

Hi.
   I have a Letux400 with a Debian Lenny system (2.6.24.3 kernel).

How is battery charge level queried on this system? Is there some
command line tool ?

If this system does not support this, does a later
kernel do?

Thanks,
   Dima.
