Hi all,

Last Thursday's meeting was attended by Alan, Naveen and myself. You can find a
transcript of the meeting here:
http://miragroupware.org/wiki/doku.php/development/communication/archives/100805_weekly

I shall address the topics in the order in which they were discussed. The
meeting did not have a formal agenda.

First, we discussed the Segfault that I experienced when trying to join or
create a Workplace in Mira Client. Alan said this should be easy to fix,
because he knows what is causing it.

The 'Sync' action that exists in the Client has been changed to a 'Go Online'
action. This will allow a user who is working offline to connect to the Server,
synchronise any changes made in 'Work Offline' mode and to return online.

On the new Manage Accounts screen, there exist two buttons to use when a Server
has been selected: 'Connect' and 'Work Offline'. We discussed the possibility
of merging these two buttons into one connect button which would determine the
connection status and choose the appropriate mode accordingly, but it was
decided that this would not be as clear to the end-user (who might think that
the Client is online when, in reality, it is not). The desired option is to
keep the two buttons: 'Connect' to connect to the Server online, and 'Work
Offline' to access the cached Workplaces from that Server.

There is also an issue with the new dock widget for Workplace options - on
Ubuntu, when I run it, it appears larger than it needs to be. Alan is going to
look into this. Alan is also going to look into the bug which causes several
Files Utilities to appear in the same Workplace when new Workplaces are created.

We then wanted to review Naveen's highlight-contacts branch. Unfortunately, at
this point of the conversation, Naveen lost his connection to the chat session
and despite trying (very valiantly, might I add) for half an hour to reconnect,
was unable to join us for the rest of the meeting.

There were a few questions Alan raised regarding Naveen's branch, which I have
passed on to him for reference. Naveen, if you have the time, we would greatly
appreciate your attention; the sooner we merge your branch into trunk, the
better!

Several among you have been rather quiet recently (Shilpa, Neeraj, Badri -
you've disappeared!), so it would be great to see some more activity from you
if you have the time. I am also going to try to recruit a few more developers
in order to accelerate our work on Mira.

Regards,

Max Bossino
