message - I should stress that I should have been asleep several hours ago!
Which version of CMake are you using? If you install the latest, it should
support Boost up to version 1.44 (although we officially use version 1.42, as
in your case).
If, even then, it fails to find those Boost libraries, try setting the
environment variable BOOST_ROOT = /usr/local (or wherever your Boost libraries
can be found). That might help CMake's FindBoost module to locate it.
This problem has occurred several times in the past. In fact, the last time it
happened to me, I managed to resolve it by reinstalling Boost 1.42 from source.
