mksh does not interact at all with X11 or window managers.
It doesn’t even *know* about such things (can’t, since it
runs on Windows® and Plan 9 as well).

Sorry to disappoint, but, while mksh may make the bug visible,
it’s not the cause of the bug¹. (Similar things happen with
compilers, toolchains, C libraries, etc. regularily; see
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=922974 for the
latest occurrence of finding a bug in GCC.)
