It is indeed R50f. The last time I tried to build it on (386) Plan9 was R47 so 
I was happy to see that no build breakage had happened.

I remember that something like this was what we had to tweak back in the days 
to get it to build on 386 with native compilers.
I don't have an amd64 VM image (yet) so I can not run a test myself. I will 
ask on the isuse tracker.

Unfortunately, it does not seem like each issue discussion gets its unique e-
mail adress. Because of this, I am CCing the original reporter who might have 
more intimate knowledge of the issue.
