Are you sure your DNS-server picked up the changes/that your machine is not still trying to use ipv6 connection? (I know here was written before that no ipv6 stuff is used, but it was also pointed out before that newer versions of Windows enable teredo by default, and that tunnels ipv6 over regular ipv4 connections, without the need to configure stuff by the user). Well - people have confirmed that the server doesn't support ipv6 contrary to what the AAAA DNS entry suggested. > But still, I cannot yet rule out some involvement from my internet security > application, even though such an involvement would be very peculiar, as the > issue only(!) occurs with the Supportex mirror, and with no other mirror and > with not any other download. please flush your DNS cache & use nslookup to query for a ipv6 address to be sure nslookup -type=AAAA mirrors.supportex.net must not return a result. Other than that, a traceroute might help ciao Christian PS: I also cannot confirm that the server doesn't report size or doesn't accept byte-ranges/resume: curl -I http://mirrors.supportex.net/tdf/libreoffice/stable/3.3.4/win/x86/LibO_3.3.4_Win_x86_install_multi.exe HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 02 Nov 2011 00:38:10 GMT Server: Apache Last-Modified: Thu, 04 Aug 2011 22:10:47 GMT ETag: "3a308ff-d88df02-4a9b540bac7c0" Accept-Ranges: bytes Content-Length: 227073794 Vary: Accept-Encoding,User-Agent Content-Type: application/octet-stream -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/mirrors/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
