Hello TDF mirrors team,
We operate https://mirror.raiolanetworks.com/ (Raiola Networks, Spain),
already registered as an official LibreOffice / TDF mirror and listed at
https://download.documentfoundation.org/mirmon/.
We are running into two recurring issues syncing tdf-pub and would
appreciate your help:
1) Connection cap rejections
Our scheduled rsync runs are frequently rejected with:
@ERROR: max connections (120) reached -- try again later
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5)
Could you add our source IP to an allowlist / reserved-slot list on
rsync.documentfoundation.org so registered mirrors are not blocked by
the global 120-connection cap?
Source IP (rsync client): 91.132.103.246
Source IPv6 (if used): 2a12:d282:102:f6::1
2) Very slow transfer speeds
When the connection is accepted, throughput often drops to a few
kbps for extended periods, which causes syncs to time out or take
hours to finish. Is there a less-saturated upstream available for
registered mirrors — for example a tier-1 rsync endpoint or a
mirror-to-mirror source — that we could point at instead of the
public rsync.documentfoundation.org?
Mirror details for reference:
- Public URL: https://mirror.raiolanetworks.com/tdf/
- Location: Spain (EU)
- Operator: Raiola Networks S.L.
- Sync schedule: every 2 h, jittered (cron 0 */2 * * *, ±40 min)
- rsync filters: -rlptH --safe-links --delete-after
- Filelist guard: TIMESTAMP compared before each pull
Happy to provide logs, traceroutes, or run any test you need.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
—
