That is true. The original posting distinguished between Plan 9 and
9front. It did not say that no one is currently working on 9front.
It also mentioned that I have 9front installed on one of my computers.

Obligatory OpenBSD content: I am trying to come up with some way to
connect this topic to OpenBSD, so I won't be guilty of posting a
completely off-topic message to an OpenBSD mailing list (although God
knows I wouldn't be the first person to do so). I am not succeeding.
The only connection I can see is that they are both obscure. Some
members of this mailing list might resent my saying that, but it can
be an advantage. Whenever I have a client whose paramount concern is
security, I always advise him to run OpenBSD -- not just because
OpenBSD is inherently more secure (although it is, and I always tell
my clients that it is), but also, and primarily, because it is the
most obscure of the major UNIX dialects, therefore the people who
attack operating systems will prefer to attack the ones about which
more is known. If I may skip to the punchline of the well-known joke
-- "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you" (a
joke I always tell at the beginning of every class I teach on computer
security, it is the key joke). Usually, the enemy doesn't want you,
usually the enemy just wants someone, and you can be fully protected
just by being slighly harder to catch than all your neighbors.
