Hello dear OpenSMTP community members,

I've recently set up an smtp server which allow me to send mail from local
accounts (via a relay) and receive mail for linux users (and few aliases)
on the local machine.
This is the first time I set up a mail server on my own, I know how the
smtp protocol works but I have little experience with "setting up the whole
thing".

I'll try to keep the message short and go to the point:
I'm running opensmtp on a raspberry pi (Arch arm distro) with few other
services (nginx, openssh) and I'm trying to set up a very small network. I
would like to create something more close to a "usual mail service" which
means POP3, IMAP, Web interface, allow users to change their password,
answer to and send mails within a browser, send attached files (with
limits), etc. Plus I'd like to set up some spam/virus filtering.

Of course I'm not trying to set up something like gmail, I'd just like to
set up a decent service and give a dozen of mail addresses to some known
people. It's more a learning project that could eventually find an utility
if properly set up.

I hoped you could link me something useful on how to setup such a thing.
All guides I've found online are very specific on setting up a particular
service or filter but nothing about "building an entire mail service". I
need a more "newbie" overview on the whole thing, telling me how to get
each part working with the other. Also if you could suggest me a possible
lightweight configuration suitable for the Pi (no heavy load expected, of
course).

I hope I've been clear enough and I'm not asking too much
Thanks in advance

Best regards

Stefano
