Actually I think I may have solved it.
I was tracing the smtp daemon trying to resend
it and I think it was advertising the wrong hostname.
Since the internal hostname of the server is not
the same as the domain. So I changed the relay
line to:

accept for any relay hostname "bitpuffin.com"

And now it seems like it succeeded! But who knows
right :P

Now I'm gonna go look for where to read the logs
