I don't think the problem is with the config:

debug: SSL library error: ssl_setup: error:26078067:engine 
routines:ENGINE_LIST_ADD:conflicting engine id
debug: SSL library error: ssl_setup: error:2606906E:engine 
routines:ENGINE_add:internal list error

These two lines are the real error, the third one is just a fallback for
an error that should never had happened.

What is the Operating System ?
What is your OpenSSL version ? compile flags ?
