Hi Guys,
First of all, let me say how pleased I am to see that there is another
good SMTP server available these days.
On Linux, I used to use another popular MTA in the past - which shall
remain incognito here - but frankly its configuration "richness" drove
me bonkers more than once. Anyway, OpenSMTPD feels good and compact and
I intend to keep using it in the future.
One question, though, if I may:
After installing the latest portable version 5.7.1p1 on Arch Linux, I
was wondering how to set a log file for SMTPD. I am running a virtual
server with no syslog running, i.e. I would like to specify my own log
file ("/var/log/smtpd").
Logging to STDERR with "smtpd -d" works nicely, but a dedicated log file
would even be nicer.
Many thanks,
Holger
