Please be sure to double check before buying. I thought the same thing when I ordred the LSI MegaRAID SATA 300-8x. It wasn't keyed for a standard 5V PCI slot, and as such would not work.
I went ahead and upgraded motherboards to a PCI-X capable board, however it was a costly upgrade that I wasn't prepared to do when I originally bought the card.
