True, that is exactly what it's about. What I wrote down is my personal advice in the hope of it being useful to the OP. Part of my performance wishes is having the option to use any of the OS'es that please me. I am convinced others will have different wishes or find other things more important than support for on-board S-ATA or Ethernet devices. If it works out for you, that's great. It's just advice; if your reasoning brings you to other conclusions, please do as you see fit. It's your party, which is just another way of saying "your choice, your risk".
