correct. It creates a degenerate ccd device, just one disk. But that's ok. It probably should NOT be an "automatic" thing for people to use -- there are times when you might not want to have the system come up automatically if a disk are missing (think of external drives where a cable could be lose and cause a drive to be missing. Coming up with a missing drive would mean the system would have to be remirrored when the problem was fixed). Yes, there's a FAQ article in the works.
