an interesting one perhaps...

Model: Dell Latitude D800
Platform: i386
OpenBSD Version: 3.7 GENERIC

During installation I have attached a netgear FA511 pcmcia 10/100 ethernet adapter. the installation process recognises it as interface dc0. it allows me to configure it with an ip address etc.
the output from dmesg looks like:

dc0 at cardbus0 dev 0 function 0 irq 5 address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
ukphy0 at dc0 phy 1: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface
ukphy0: OUI 0x000749, model 0x0001, rev. 1

i then reboot after installation is complete.

panic during boot up, the following error:
panic: pmap_remove_pte: managed page without PG_PVLIST for 0xeb5e3000

i know this is relevant to the FA511 because this exact panic happens when I attach the card to the 'live' system. i'd love to include 'trace' and 'ps' outputs from 'ddb' but it's late(for me anyway) and the laptop has no floppy drive and I can't be arsed setting up ftp (even if I knew it would work).

the outputs from 'ps' and 'trace' will follow shortly.

my only question is this: why is the FA511 recognised and allowed to be configured during the installation process, but attempting to use it after installation breaks the whole system?

i realise the FA511 is not officially supported by 3.7, but it's confusing why it should work during installation and not afterwards.

thanks
