Hello, I have a short question to the community...
Does anybody have experience with raid level 6 on a raidframe software raid? Is it even supported? In the man page it isn't mentioned but there are files in the CVS that contain code for raid6 (i.e. sys/dev/raidframe/rf_geniq.c). So, all I want to know is if it's supported, if it's stable, if I'll be the only person in the world using it and if everybody will laugh at me when I lose my data.. :) Thanks, - Mathias ... or should I use raid 5? I'll probably be flamed, but I really don't trust hard drives too much. And I know that raid is no backup solution, but I need redundancy.
