I've been trying to install OpenBSD 3.7 in a freshly-purchased machine
and after an apparently successful install the boot hangs after
displaying the following:

--------------------------------------
pctr: user-level cycle counter enabled
wd0(pciide0:0:0): timeout
        type: ata
        c_bcount: 512
        c_skip: 0
pciide0:0:0: bus-master DMA error: missing interrupt, status=0x21
--------------------------------------

attempts to boot using -c fail, user input is not accepted at the UKC>
prompt.

hardware failure is possible, suggestions for eliminating that are
welcome.

Thank you for your time,

Mike Califf
