I have done this so far:
1. Installed ghostscript 8.14
2. Installed cups from packages
3. Set loglevel to debug2
4. Run cupsd
5. Downloaded and installed hl1250 PPD file for my Brother printer (goes
in /usr/local/share/cups/model)
6. Installed my printer using the browser interface at http://localhost:631
lpstat -p -d -a show:
printer Brother is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
system default destination: Brother
Brother accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00
When I try to print a testpage from the browser interface nothing
happends, except the printer wakes up if it is sleep mode.
Looking at the error_log I get this:

In the bottom of the error_log there is some information which I don't
understand much from but the printjob does get canceled with "E
[01/Oct/2005:02:40:10 +0200] PID 4823 stopped with status 3!"
Anyone who can perhaps tell me what might be wrong?
