? altq is as effective as your understanding of it and your implementation. being that it is setup on an interface ( or several altq definitions on various interfaces ), and has effect when traffic leaves that interface (be it on to further encapsulation or out to the wire), it is all about how well you define/partition your traffic rules. there was a post to either misc@ or pf@ a short while back where someone asked about, iirc, traffic-shaping the various traffic to an IPsec peer, and how that would interact with the rest of the traffic shaping for the 'clear text' traffic. jared -- [ openbsd 3.8 GENERIC ( sep 27 ) // i386 ]
