concerning my original post:
sorry, I made a typo error in my hostname.pppoe0.
I have this line:
!/sbin/ifconfig \$if inet 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.1 netmask 0xffffffff

I do NOT have  "link1" in the line, as written in the previous mail!!!
