Ok, that did the trick. I made the changes to the 4.8 source and ppb hotplug was disabled. I then tested the dual port cards and got close to 1 Gbit/s but without the high CPU usage (only about 30% intr). So my question now is: Do we need the ppb hotplug? What is it good for? //Peter
