Make sure the RAM is compatible with the machine and with the
existing RAM (same speed/CAS latency etc.).

Have you tried taking out the existing RAM and just using the new RAM?

Have you tried different RAM slots?

"boot dump", see ddb(4). But it's unlikely to help you here.
