i am using a snapshot from
OpenBSD 3.8-current (GENERIC) #196: Mon Oct 17 14:32:07 MDT 2005

and setxkbmap is dumping core:
amaaq> setxkbmap
Couldn't interpret _XKB_RULES_NAMES property
