thanks for the diff - i just committed it. as to the undocumented stuff,
i asked gilles (since i didn;t know). i'm sure he won;t mind my posting
part of his mail here:

        The undocumented "features" are undocumented because they
        are not yet implemented. The monitor stuff we might just
        get rid off for the time being, smtpctl stop is trickier
        than it looks, so eventually we should comment them from
        the parser
