It depends on what you mean by "supported". There is work in progress, but not all manufacturer specified functions are available, because the hardware documentation is not free. See the:
man radeon man radeonold You need to decide what specific 3D application do you want to run and check for support. I think since a few years ago most video cards are gifted with dual link DVI.
