Hi gurus, We have OpenBGPd running for some years very happily but now one of our transits is changing their rules.
We are getting a new fibre feed because we moved to another level in the datacentre instead of the ethernet we had two levels down. That is not of any concern BUT along with the new connection they are imposing ACLs based on MAC addresses and we have two of those at present for that company. We had split the feed into IPv4 on one NIC and v6 on another due to the v4 traffic being the busiest v4 of any of our peers. Our "wish" is to have some way of splitting the v4 and v6 traffic in such a way that we can assign the same MAC address to both interfaces as I guess that having two NICs with just a switch turning one feed into two without some magic will cause trouble. If there is something out there that will do what we need it will probably save us heaps on a hardware upgrade. TIA, *** NOTE *** Please DO NOT CC me. I <am> subscribed to the list. Mail to the sender address that does not originate at the list server is tarpitted. The reply-to: address is provided for those who feel compelled to reply off list. Thankyou.
