As far as I know--if I'm wrong I'm certain someone will correct me--none of the OpenBSD wireless devices support power saving when doing Host AP (see the CAVEATS section of the man page for the device). As such, any device that does power saving--and many small mobile devices do--will perform poorly with an OpenBSD-based AP.
