Hi All,

I have an Acer Aspire One 722 netbook. It looks like this with the GENERIC.MP

I really want to get wireless working with this thing so I hacked in the
kernel and added the following patch:

****

The card does get detected like so:

Nov 15 07:32:12 saturn /bsd: athn0 at pci4 dev 0 function 0 "Atheros AR9485"

However when I try to "ifconfig athn0 scan" the following messages appear:

Now a bit background on this netbook, I bought it early 2012 and it has no
hardware switch on the chassis for the wireless like some other netbooks
have them. Instead it has a function key and together with F3 the wireless
is supposed to go on.

Any hint how I can get this key to work? The wireless light should light up
amber when the radio is turned on. I'd really like to use the internal wifi
over buying some external dongle but I'm sure as a compromise I'll have to.
Any hints on what's good to buy these days?

Regards,
-peter
