I'm trying to build the kernel for -current
I updated the binaries first, then updated the source tree and then did
cd /usr/src/sys/arch/i386/conf
config GENERIC
cd ../compile/GENERIC
make clean && make
This fails while processing locoer.s with these messages:

Stop in /usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC (line 165 of
/usr/share/mk/sys.mk).
The cvs status of locore.s is 'Up to date', Revision 1.145
I followed the same procedure some weeks ago ( Sep. 25. ) and had no problems.
dmesg.boot is included at the end of this message.
