I first add the same reaction than you but after looking for the price,
around 400$ dollars, I told myself I would instead buy a EdgeRouter LIte at
99$ (3 gigabits ethers) with a switch for around half the price.
I picked up a D-Link DSR-500 for $160 several months ago when an outfit
was unloading a bunch of surplus items. Right now I see them for sale for
~ $200.
