Hi,

I updated to a curent OpenBSD snapshot, to get more advanced ACPI support my HP laptop (other thread about battery status).

What I noticed now is an annoying behaviour: "shutdown -hp now" doesn't poweroff my machine. It apparently kills all processes, the display goes blank, but the CPU is still running and stays so forever. I accidentally packed my laptop in the case and found it all hot half an hour later :)

The fact can be reproduced and was not accidental. I need to press the power-off key for a couple of seconds to poweroff the computer. Filseystems were synced cleanly, because I don't get a FSCK error at the next power-on.

I suppose this is a bug, how can I give more information? Perhaps it is possible to retrieve the last kernel messages printed on shutdown?

Riccardo
