Sometimes there is also flashdist mentioned: http://www.nmedia.net/~chris/soekris/ which also turns up on a google search for "openbsd soekris" as second hit. look at the flashdist script and you'll find a very good implementation of a ro /. but you don't need to go that far. there are recent postings mentioning that it won't be neccessary to have a ro / on a modern CF card.
