This is a real shot in the dark, it should only work if your BIOS has screwed interrupt routing for the realtek, but, try changing the MSI exclusion in /usr/src/sys/dev/pci/if_re_pci.c
change PCI_PRODUCT_REALTEK_RT8101E to PCI_PRODUCT_REALTEK_8168 as in: if (PCI_VENDOR(pa->pa_id) != PCI_VENDOR_REALTEK || PCI_PRODUCT(pa->pa_id) != PCI_PRODUCT_REALTEK_RT8168) pa->pa_flags &= ~PCI_FLAGS_MSI_ENABLED; if this works then MSI may be perferrable on more of the newer chips like the 8101E, 8168, 8169, 8169SC ???
