Yesterday I've updated one of machines from
OpenBSD 5.4-current (GENERIC.MP) #70: Tue Oct 1 12:57:28 MDT 2013
to
OpenBSD 5.4-current (GENERIC.MP) #193: Mon Jan 6 13:43:26 MST 2014
I can connect to this machine with a serial cable using cu
cu -s 9600 -l /dev/cua00
I can see the boot process (POST etc) up to the bsd boot:
>> OpenBSD/i386 BOOT 3.16

entry point at 0x200120
Then I loose output. Before the update I could watch the BSD boot
process and I had a getty.
# more /etc/boot.conf
set tty com0
# grep tty00 /etc/ttys
tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt220 on secure
Any ideas?
