While this is true, you'll most likely always have problems using st from git, because on most operating systems, only the latest stable st (version 0.4.1) is available as a package, and there have been massive changes to the terminfo file since then. Problems with a new st and outdated terminfo information were the motivation for this thread, so letting users know that the terminfo is missing on remote machines is IMHO a better solution than to let them think everything is fine. For now, it would be good to update the terminfo to 0.4.1 (upstream in ncurses and in openbsd), so that at least the version from ports can work flawlessly. I will set up a diff. Regards, Nils
